Real Madrid are about to open negotiations with Porto over the possibility of signing Alex Telles, according to Portuguese outlet .
The Champions League winners are actively looking for a long-term replacement for Marcelo, and Telles seems to fit their need. Their officials are expected to arrive to Portugal on Monday afternoon to discuss the conditions of a potential transfer. Italian champions Juventus are also interested, so Real will be keen to get the deal over the line as soon as possible in order to avoid a bidding war.
Whatever happens, Porto aren t likely to part ways with the left-back for anything less than his buyout clause, which reportedly stands at around €40million.
Telles is an attack-minded full-back who started his career in Brazilian Serie D with Esporte Clube Juventude. He had a spell with Gremio before moving to Turkey where he played two years for Galatasaray and was sent on loan to Inter Milan. He signed for Porto in 2016, and he has made 90 appearances and scored five goals for the reigning Portuguese champions.
