Reading’s Jay Tabb is still hoping he will be offered a new contract with his current deal expiring in just under six months.
The 28-year-old has been at the Madejski Stadium since signing from Coventry in 2009 and after being a peripheral figure last season, has made 12 starts in the Premier League this term.
Recent reports suggested Tabb had been offered a new deal, however he has since denied those claims but re-affirmed that he is desperate to stay with the club.
He told talkSPORT: Talk of a contract being offered is news to me, nothing has been said or offered yet.
I love the club and want to stay but my contract is up in six months and I am not really sure what’s happening.
All I can and will do is keep giving my all when given the opportunity and then we’ll see what happens.
